I needed a shed that would fit in a narrow spot on the side of my house, and the Duramax SideMate Shed turned out to be perfect. At 4 feet deep and 10 feet wide, it fits the space exactly. You do have to duck a bit at the entrance, but the roof rises toward the back, which makes it feel more spacious once you’re inside.
This shed holds a lot more than I expected. Right now, I have a boxing bag, two bikes, six totes, and a Christmas tree stored inside — and I still have about a third of the space left.
Assembly took two people around 12 hours. Some parts of the instructions were a bit confusing, and we had to redo a few steps, but overall the build wasn’t too difficult once we got into the rhythm.
All in all, the SideMate Shed is sturdy, space-efficient, and exactly what I needed for my side yard storage.
Ordered this shed to put on our side yard to hold gardening tools and pots. Arrived quickly and we paid a company to install it. It took him, one person, about 2.5 hours to complete. We could have done it ourselves but it would have taken my husband and I much longer. Sometimes it’s better to pay someone. We love the shed. It’s streamlined shape and smaller footprint works well on our concrete side yard. It appears to be sturdy and well made. All items were in the box and it looks great. We don’t get much rain in Southern California so can’t speak to any leaks. I do not expect any. I expect that it will last many years. It holds quite a bit of items if you organize well. Satisfied with our purchase.
Purchased this same shed, must have about 15 years ago. Held up well until a tree came down in a storm a couple of months ago and took it out. So I purchased another one. It butts up against the larger wooden shed in my backyard.
So far so good after one week. Definitely a two person assembly process. Shed seems sturdy. I wonder about gaps in roof panels as far as leak potential.
Instructions are pictures only but well drawn. A LOT of of pieces. Should require 2 people to install.
Easy to assemble, looks great and good quality!
Be prepared to spend at least 12 hours on building this shed (with 3 adults). Don’t start putting up the walls if you don’t have at least 3 hours left in the day. One gust of wind comes and you’ll have bent poles and walls on the ground. Once it’s up it’s beautiful but it is a feat!
I love my shed, excellent price, good service, good quality, etc.
Thank you so much.
Well constructed and meets all my expectations. Will definitely recommend Duramax to friends and family.
It took a little bit to put together, but I’m happy with the purchase
Very pleased with my shed purchase and many neighbors and friends already inquiring where I made my purchase. I did put together myself and the 70+ page direction book made it easy step by step.
it was a little bit easy to but together. 2 people needed.
am enjoying it now
Good shed for the price. Looks nice assembled, make sure you pay attention to directions, and screw hole placement when assembling otherwise you’ll have to disassemble and reassemble. Took me about 14 hours to complete.
I purchased three of these 4' x 10' double door buildings and they all went together perfectly fine. Very satisfied with the product.
Shipped in timely manner. Shipper worked with my schedule. The install instructions were simple to follow and clear. Product will last a long time. Is light enough for my purpose on a (Floating Cabin). Would buy again.
As a previous owner of a 10x10 duramax shed I already knew the durability. 20 years now and still standing strong. The side mate was a perfect fit for what I needed.
This is my second shed. I had zero problems with the first one which was damaged in a hailstorm. It was delivered the day it was supposed to. Had a few damaged pieces, they were replaced promptly?
My shed was installed today April, 16th and it looks amazing. I wish it was available in a 4X20 just because it’s only four feet wide. The extra length would be nice. Thank you !
excellent product, directions clear and the holes were all lined up perfectly. great quality, quick shipping, would buy again.
Well built, easy to assemble, straight forward instructions. Very happy.
Works as expected. Sort of flimsy so we’ll see how it holds up during heavy wind and rain storms.
Customer service was great. We had a problem with some parts that they promptly resolved without question.
Putting it together was not as easy as we thought it would be. The pictures were a bit difficult to discern but we figured it out.
We made the floor more secure by adding wood slats in between each metal frame and that worked great.
We secured it with earth anchors and that worked out great.
A bit expensive for the flimsiness and considering the extra money spent on the flooring and anchors but overall it solved a problem and we are happy with the purchase.
Not sure if I would spend that much again.
